Paint that drips. Clay that squishes. In the studio, there's no single "right" way to make art—just endless ways to explore. Artists get to be the boss of their own creative process, picking whatever tools and materials speak to them, whether that's a paintbrush, a printmaking, a needle and thread or collage materials.
We pull inspiration from all over the map—old-school traditions, brand-new techniques, and everything in between—so there's always something new to try. Mix mediums. Break "the rules." Remix ideas from a dozen different cultures into something nobody's ever made before.
This is about messy, joyful experimentation. Because when artists get to choose, they don't just make art... they find their voice.
IMPORTANT Time and Dates:
Students will stay with their teacher until the bell rings, then have a snack. I will pick them up at 4:00 PM, and we will spend our time creating in the art room. Pickup will be at 5:15 PM from the Art Room.
Location
The Art Room is located in the J Building, at the very back of the school property, behind the playground.
Aug 19: Create a Mandala
Aug 26: Scented Salt Painting
Sept. 2: Mirror Creatures
Sept. 9: Printmaking stations
Sept 16: Kinusaiga
Sept. 26: Cubism Texture Creations
Sept. 30: Mixed- Media: “My favorite Place”
Oct. 7: Fluffy Slime and Gallery walk with family and friends
A note for parents:
This art class runs as an 8-week session. While we know schedules get busy and missing a class here or there is no big deal, please keep in mind that some projects take our little artists more than one session to finish! If your child is away, they're always welcome to pick back up and finish their work the following week — creativity doesn't run on a strict clock. Please note: there are no refunds for missed classes.
Payment Options:
The $207.00 price includes a small processing fee for credit card payments made through the website. If you'd prefer to pay with cash, check, or Venmo instead (no extra fee), please email me ahead of time — you're welcome to pay in person at the first class.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the start date of the first class in the 8-week session. After this window, no refunds will be issued.
